Hardware

Two types of terminal with different performance capabilities are available from multiple manufacturers. Both use stabilised, directional antennas, varying in size and weight, but are smaller or comparable with existing Fleet terminals. The whole system is designed specifically for the marine environment and has been rigorously tested to Inmarsat's exacting standards.

  • SMS: Std 3G up to 160 characters
