Benefits

Using the Alicom Email2C-Data or Seamail service you can send a message to a vessel directly from your PC. No new software is needed so once you have registered your email addresses, you can immediately use the service.

Transmission from the Desktop

When you need to send to a vessel, save time and money by sending directly from your PC. Use MS Exchange, MS Outlook, Lotus Notes or any other Internet mail package and your existing Internet connection. If you can send Internet email then you can send to vessels using our Seamail service.

Simply address your message to Alicoms' special email address and your message will be delivered automatically via the Inmarsat C data service. Once you send your message our system does the rest, receiving your message as email and converting the text to 5-bit ASCII for transmission via the Inmarsat C data service. Delivery is automated, including automatic ocean search to find your vessels whichever ocean they are in.

Proof of Delivery

You'll know when your message is delivered as we send a delivery notification to your email address, or a non-delivery notification if your message cannot be delivered.

You can also check your message status over the web via our real time Service Reports. To sign up for these reports, simply complete the Customer Registration process.

Scheduled Reports are available daily and weekly which show the status of your messages, whether delivered, re-trying or cancelled.

Itemised Monthly Billing

Comprehensive call charges are provided as standard in Excel format to facilitate departmental costing or for re-charging purposes.
