Vessel Tracker from Alicom Systems allows you to pinpoint exactly where your vessels are at any given point in time using the GPS position data retrieved from their on-board Inmarsat-C terminal.
Having accurate and up-to-date information on vessel location means more efficient fleet management becomes possible.
No additional hardware or infrastucture is required.
How does it work?
The Vessel Tracker system polls a given vessel on a time-based schedule which can be specific to a customer and/or vessel. The Inmarsat-C terminal on the vessel responds with their positional data as well as course and speed.
This data is correlated within the Vessel Tracker system and used to produce a tab-separated report which is emailed to you as an attachment. This can then be opened in a spreadsheet application or processed in some other way depending on your needs.

Pricing Structure
There is a one off registration fee per vessel and then a monthly charge based on the number of polls required.
Requirements
No additional hardware is required to make use of the Vessel Trackers service as the GPS position data is taken from the vessel's Inmarsat-C terminal.
Please note that you must obtain permission from the vessel's owner before activating the Vessel Tracker service.
Ordering and Setup
Ordering the Vessel Tracker is quite simple. We need the vessel's name, the Inmarsat-C terminal number and the delivery email address for the reports.
